About WMES

The West Midlands Egyptology Society was founded in 2014 by Stacey Anne Bagdi, a graduate in Egyptology from The University of Leiden.

The first WMES talk was on Wednesday 22nd October 2014, a talk on The Valley of the Kings, by Peter Robinson!

The current committee is:
Chair – Silvie Adams
Secretary – Aneeka Shezad
Treasurer – Chris Davies 

 Mitch Davie, Colin Twamley

In addition to the committee, WMES members also elect an individual to the Honorary role of President. The first Honorary President is Stacey Anne Bagdi.

Membership

Membership runs for twelve months from purchase, and includes free access to all talks during that period plus discounts on trips and special events.

£ 30 – Adult (18 years plus)

£25 – Students / Concessions*

£50 – Joint Adults (18 years plus)

£35 – Joint Students / Concessions*

On the Door Prices – prices are per talk per person for non members

£6 – Adults

£5 – Students and Concessions

*Concessions include; Disabled, Unemployed, Over 60’s and those in receipt of benefits. Students will be required to display a valid student I.D to purchase membership or on the door tickets.
